I have been blessed to partner with amazing and inspiring people and organizations along my yoga journey:
Africa Yoga Project, a youth development program, where I raised funds to send two-African students to a 200-hr yoga teacher training in Nairobi, Kenya as part of a youth development program. I had intentions of assisting that training, but it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Family Promise, a community organization that partners with local affiliates to combat homelessness in Union County, NJ, where I participated in their 21-Day Family Fitness Challenge by hosting a community yin yoga and meditation class.
We Are Change Yoga, an awareness driven movement to evoke peaceful sustained action to support advocacy for equal justice under the law, wmye I guided a donation-based yin yoga class for their Juneteenth celebration which benefited BlackLivesMatter and otmy social justice organizations serving underrepresented and marginalized people.
Dr. Yasmene Mumby, creator of “Ahimsa, the audiomemoir on yoga, wellness, and Black Lives in 2020,” who interviewed me for the piece.
